Equine Assisted Learning and Mental Health Services

At Living Revived Therapy, Averie offers a very unique service which incorporates the use of equine partners to facilitate therapeutic learning and mental health sessions, either on the ground or on the back of the horse. Equines are intuitive, emotional, and social creatures allowing for a very therapeutic and healing environment in which to explore the boundaries of our physical, mental, and emotional baggage that we carry. By reflecting our fears, desires, and confidence (or lack thereof) back at us, they open up the conversation on the emotions hovering just below the surface. The same emotions that make you wonder how you’re going to get through another day.

As part of her doctorate degree in occupational therapy, Averie has been extensively trained in trauma-informed therapy mental health services and how the brain, body, and soul connect to form a holistic picture of health. In addition she has life long experience with horses and knows first hand how healing they can be.

Do you struggle with confidence in your life? Feel like you wake up most days without a purpose? Perhaps the idea of going outside and interacting with nature intrigues you, but you aren’t sure where to start? Equine assisted learning can be a great place to explore your personal barriers and boundaries set that have stopped you from living a revived life. Let’s chat today about how some farm chores and connecting with our fellow animals can really be a game changer in life.
